a package frozen puff pastry
honey or golden syrup
500g ripe plums
a beaten free range egg yolk
optional
500g apples
100g raisins
50g sugar mixed with cinnamon
We found this easy peasy recipe for Plum Pastries on BBC Food which we gladly pass on, because they taste really good. Now you know Autumn is on it's way ... make a lot of these pastries because they are gone in a blink! If you do not like plums you can fill the pastries with apple, raisins and cinnamon, also very Autumnal and delicious!
How to make Plum Pastries
Preheat the oven to 220°C
Cut out circles from half thawed puff pastry and brush generously with honey.
Stone the plums, cut them into four, place them on the circles. Roll the edges.
Brush some beaten egg on the edges of the plum pastries.
Slide the pies in the middle of the oven and bake them golden in 12-15 minutes.
Allow the pastries to cool a little on a wire rack.
Brew a lovely cup of tea to go with the pastries and enjoy!
