Hair elastics for King's Day
2 big orange pompoms
4 small orange pompoms
wobbly eyes
glue or needle & thread
a red/white/blue ribbon
2 elastic hair bands
These funny orange hair elastics you make for little girls, for our first King's Day of course! You can glue or sew them, take your pick. We sew because we like to do it, but sticking is also fine! Look closely at Sabine, she has fur, no hair so she wears the rubber band around her ear. That's also a possibility, if you are a Bear ;))
How to make King's Day hair ties
Sew the elastic bands with a couple of sturdy stitches on the pompom.
Sew with the same thread the 'ears' on the pompom.
Tie off the thread with 3 stitches, stick the thread through the pompom.
Press the adhesive wobbly eyes on the pompom heads.
Cut off a piece of red/white/blue ribbon
Sew bows of it using a needle and thread.
Sew the bow onto the bear's head.
Make a second bear in the same way.
First sew the elastic band on the pompom
Then sew the ears on the pompom.
Stick on the eyes and sew on the bow.
We wish you a happy King's Day, on April 27!
