350g flour
250g unsalted butter (room temperature)
120g caster sugar
1 sachet vanilla sugar
2 free-range egg whites (room temp.)
125g icing sugar
drops of lemon juice
1 free range egg white
foodcolouring, red and yellow
blue M&M's
It is this easy to make these sweet Easter chicks
Mix the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar creamy.
Add the beaten egg yolks and mix until combined.
Add the flour in parts and keep mixing.
Keep mixing until you have a coarse dough.
Knead the dough quickly smooth by hand.
Roll it into a ball and wrap it in cling film.
Place the dough in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 170 ° C
Roll out the dough, thickness 0.5 to 1cm.
Cut the biscuits with a cutter.
Bake the biscuits for 10-12 minutes.
Let the biscuits cool on a wire rack.
No problem if your biscuits run out a little, this plump and round they look very cozy!
Spread yellow icing on the chicks, orange on feet and beak.
Allow the chicks to dry thoroughly then wrap them nicely!
