Today we are making sweet Valentine tartlets, in a heart shape of course! Because making you own puff pastry is very difficult and also time consuming, we buy it ready-made, in the supermarket. Filled with chocolate, whipped cream and raspberries, these cakes are super yummie!
How to make the heart tartlets
Preheat the oven to 200°C
Defrost the puff pastry.
Grease the baking tins.
Line the hearts with dough*.
Sprinkle cocoa-sugar onto the dough.
*Trim the excess dough and prick holes in the bottom with a fork. Bake the hearts in app. 20 minutes golden brown.
Pour the cream in a saucepan, bring it to the boil.
Chop the chocolate into little pieces.
Turn off the heat and add the chocolate.
Melt the chocolate in the cream while stirring*.
Let the pastry completely cool on a wire rack.
Sieve the pips out of the raspberry jam.
Brush the inside of the tartlets with jam, spread the chocolate over it and cover it with raspberries. Whip the remaining cream and give it on the side. Yummy!
Pour chocolate ganache on top of the jam.
Press the raspberries into the chocolate ganache.
Whisk the remaining cream stiff and give it on the side.
Happy Valentine's Day!
