The Natural History Museum Rotterdam presents on December 15, 2012 t / m March 3, 2013 together with the Kunsthal Rotterdam 'Opgewonden Beestjes', an exhibition that casts a playful look on the mechanical animal.

Who remembers? The traditional tin wind-up toys that after turning the key click-clack-click-clack moves across the table or floor. Over two hundred mechanical creatures ranging from penguins to crocodiles and beetles to dragonflies, are on display at two locations.

Land and air animals are to be seen in the Natural History Museum and aquatic animals in the adjacent Kunsthal, never before were so many 'Opgewonden Beestjes' together. The exhibition also shows pictures of the tin animals captured in their own habitat.

And probably you also run in to Ramon in the Natuurhistorisch Museu. Who? RAMON!!!
