What do you need?
some white carnations
empty glas jars or bottles
water
food coloring
garden shears
To change white carnations into beautiful coloured ones seems like magic but...it isn't ;) It's a simple trick with a maximum effect. Kids love it!
This is how you do it
Fill the glass bottles and jars to 1/3 with cold water.
Squeeze 10 to 15 drops of colour in the water and stir.
Take any number of fresh white carnations.
Cut the carnations off at an angle on your chosen length.
Pull the bottem leagfs from the stems so there are no leafs in the water.
Leave the flowers a couple of days in the coloured water and see them change.
Blue and orange take the best, green a little and alas red not at all.
The effect off blue and orange is fabulous but both red and green we'll try again later!
