What do you need?
1 ball of Merino Soft by Scheepjeswolwol
1 pair of knitting needles, thickness 4 or 5
1 large darning needle
Today we knit super-fast little Autumn booties for a baby. We chose Merino Soft by Scheepjeswol for the booties, because there are so many beautiful colors in this collection and because the wool is a mixture of wool, acrylic and micro, making it wonderfully soft but also washable. The colors have names of famous painters and we think that is quite right! With this wool and needles 4 or 5 the booties are quickly made. So baby will have lovely warm feet, in the fall and winter!
How to knit hte Autumn booties (with our apologies for the changing colour of the wool in the photos, the weather was not helpful).
The rust coloured wool is called Dali but we also bought Renoir (jade green) for the fall. At the same time our brain is running at full speed to think of a reason why we really should also buy Turner and Vermeer or rather Giotto and Magrite or maybe Soutine? All beautiful shades of blue, also a favorite colour of ours! Preferably we buy all colours because you just want to knit something, when you see this wool!
Cast on 2x 26 stitches.
Knit 10 needles garter stitch.
Start with a tie-off of 10 stitches.
Knit the rest on the needle.
Tie off the first 10 stitches.
There are 6 stitches left.
Knit 20 needles in garter.
Bind off after the 20 needles.
Cut the wool off long thread.
Pin then sew the booties together.
Turn the booties inside out and they are done.
The knitting was so quickly done, we also knit a pair of red ones!
