40g butter
150g oaty chocolate biscuits
60g butter
60g soft dark brown sugar
200ml sweet condensed milk
3 ripe bananas, 2 in slices, 1 chopped
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
225ml double cream
25g grated chocolate

Banoffee pie side picll

A delicious cake, perfect for Father's Day, is the Banoffee pie. Easy to make with the kids, there is no need for the oven. But do not count calories, save it for tomorrow ;) Cut small portions as this cake is very rich!

How to make Banoffee pie
Start with the base, you need a greased, 22cm spring form for this.

Melt the butter.

Crumble the biscuits.

Stir in melted butter.

Press in the base firmly.

Place the spring form one hour in the refrigerator.

How to make the filling

Keep the condensed milk ready.

Melt the butter.

Stir in the sugar.

Keep stirring until the sugar is dissolved and no fat floats to the surface anymore.

Add the milk at this point.

Keep stirring until it thickens.

Pour the toffee into the mold.

Place the mold into the fridge.

Leave the spring-form for at least one upto eight hours in the fridge, so the toffee may set.

How to make the topping

Slice two bananas diagonally.

Toss 1 banana in lemon juice.

Put 1 banana on the toffee layer.

Beat the cream in soft peaks.

Fold chopped banana into the cream then smoothen the topping.

Stick in banana slices, grate chocolate over the pie.
