Folding sheets, in various colours
Craft cardboard, in all kinds of colours
a pencil
scissors
a glue stick
A hole puncher
a black felt-tip pen
We are making cute spring bookmarks with the little monsters. They have several favorite flowers in the garden, so we are making a pink Rose, a blue Forget-Me-Not, a white Daisy, and a red Poppy. They look very pretty in our spring books!
Here is how to make a Spring Bookmark
First fold a green basic Book Mark
Place the folding sheet diagonally before you.
Fold the bottom point upward, to the point on top.
Fold the left and the right points to the point in the middle.
Fold both the points back open again.
Fold the top point downward and inward.
Fold the left and right points over it.
And tuck in both points smoothly.
The basic bookmarks are ready now, set them aside for now
How to make the flowers
Draw flower petals on cardstock and cut them out.
Stick the carbstock petals onto the bookmarks.
Stick the heart of the flower in the center.
Draw cute faces on the hearts of the flowers.
Stick pink cheeks onto the faces.
Allow the glue to dry completely.
Now these bookmarks are ready to use!
Folding leaves work better for roses than cardstock
- For the paper roses, you fold the sheet into quarter and then draw and cut out 4 petals with one cut
- Repeat this 3 times, glue all on the bookmark, stick a heart in the center, give the Poppy black marks and youre done!
