It's cold on the first day of Spring Break! But outside the sun is shining, it is a beautiful day. We don't think about it for long, we go outside to the Rotterdam forest, although some people call this forest a park(???).
The monsters like to go to the forest, they rummage through the fallen leaves and branches in search of beautiful sticks (a hobby!). You will come across all kinds of things here, beautifully colored moss, mushrooms, funny name signs and lot and lots of trees of course! The forest is so beautiful in the sunshine.
It is very quiet in this part of the forest, occasionally someone walking a dog passes by. On the other side are playgrounds and eateries, a pancake house and a deer park. It is usually much busier there.
Here's the adventure! Walking across streams, climbing trees, making huts and building dams, in the mud. What's more fun than that? The monsters are having a great time here. Some sticks (branches that have blown off) are being taken home for the collection. Our Spring break has started really well!
