What do you need?
some leftover knitting wool, any colour you like
1 pair of double pointed needles, size 3
a large darning needle
a tiny button, in a matching colour
As promised, today we are knitting dresses for the mini bunnies. We make them very simple, so that novice knitters can join in too. Also because then all the bunnies will get a sweet dress ;) If you are more advanced in knitting you can knit different colours or mesh patterns on the dresses. Maybe we'll do that in a future blog. But for now, how to knit mini bunny dresses
Cast on 28 stitches.
Knit 3 rows.
Row 4: Knit in purl.
Row 5: Knit and Row 6: Purl.
Row 7: knit and row 8: purl.
Row 9: knit 2, knit 2 together 12 times, knit 2.
Row 10: Purl the whole needle.
Row 11: knit 4 stitches, yarn forward over needle, slip, slip, knit 1 and knit 4, knit 2 together, yarn forward on needle, slip, slip and knit 1, knit 4 stitches. (Now you have made 2 gaps for the arms)
Row 12: you purl 4 stitches; purl into back of the next stitches; purl 6 stitches; purl into back of the next stitches; purl 4 stitches (you end up with 16 stitches).
Row 13: cast off in knit stitch and cut the dress from the ball.
Make a tiny loop on the back using the cast off thread.
Stick the cast on thread in the darning needle, stick upward, cut off.
Sew a tiny button on the back, opposite of the loop.
Now you can close the dress on the back.
