As fans of Geert-Jan Roebers, we really couldn't pass up Briljante Planten (Brilliant Plants) in the bookstore. For our somewhat older mini-monsters, this is a brilliant book. The amount of information is really brilliant and it is a lot. That information is made comprehensible in a fun way because there is so much going on in the plant world. We as adults have also learned a lot from this book and we now look at plants very differently!
The cheerful, varied illustrations are very appealing, this book immediately catches your eye. They are made by Margot Westermann. We already know her work through De Zweetvoetenman. (The Stinky Feet Man). Here the book is widely read because there is so much in it that we did not know before, really brilliant!
