The book is beautifully written by Michael J. Rosen. You read about the meaning of the rituals through the voice of the boy in the book. You will read how important family is and how exactly the festival is celebrated.
The story really comes to life through the lovely illustrations by Melissa Iwai. The light gets the leading role in the book and gives the illustrations a warm appearance. A very beautiful book to introduce the mini-monsters to an important world celebration. Unfortunately this book has not been translated into Dutch.
