Make a chocolate Mother's Day gift for mom or grandma. It is a fun job and the chocolates are super tasty! We make them from milk and white chocolate but dark chocolate is an option too of course, it melts even better. If you are not a star in the kitchen, these chocolates will look beautiful all the same. Just pay attention too the melting.

How to make the chocolate checkers

Chop the chocolate finely.

Melt it au bain marie.

Swirl the bowl quickly round.

Spoon the chocolate on waxed paper.

Use a tea or coffee spoon for this and try to make all the circles about the same size.

Rub into round shapes with a spoon.

Place the fruit on the wet chocolate.

Place the chocolate 3 hours in the fridge.

Make white chocolates in the same way

Chop the chocolate finely.

Swirl when starting to melt.

Cut the fruit and the nuts.

Spoon circles on waxed paper.

Put fruit and nuts on the wet chocolate.

Put them in the fridge to set.

Now  wait for three hours and tadaaa!

Find a box and carefully pack the chocolate chequers.

Or present them at teatime. Delicious!
