Shopping list for 40 cookies
140g soft butter
175g fine sugar
1 organic free-range egg
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
225g self-raising flour
85g custard powder
85g white chocolate, in small pieces
Today is a cold day so we bake delicious custard cookies for the mini-monsters after school. Cup of hot tea and custard cookies with white pieces of chocolate on the side, so cozy. We're going to start right away!
How to make custard cookies with white chocolate chips
The preparation
Place baking paper on the baking tray.
Sift self-raising flour with the custard.
Whisk the egg.
Chop the chocolate into little pieces.
How to make the dough
Place the butter and sugar in a food processor.
Beat it until it is a creamy mixture.
Beat in the egg and the vanilla extract.
Add the flour mixture.
Beat it into a dough.
Spoon the dough into a big bowl.
Add the pieces of chocolate.
Preheat the oven to 180°C / 160°C Fan
Knead the chocolate into the dough by hand.
Roll walnut size balls from the dough.
Spread out 20 of the balls on the baking tray.
Leave enough room between the cookies, they will spread
Flatten the cookies slightly using your fingers.
Bake the cookies in 12 - 15 minutes light brown.
Firstly allow the cookies to cool on the tray.
Place the cookies on a wire rack to cool completely.
