Shopping list for two
400 ml water, hot or cold
2 tablespoons powdered coffee
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons very hot water
Are you often watching tik tok or youtube? Then you may have heard already about Dalgona coffee, but if not: this is a 'hot' or 'cool' recipe for coffee from South Korea. The recipe went viral on tik tok, so of course we wanted to try it out!
How to make Dalgona coffee
Heat the milk or leave it cold, whatever you prefer.
Put the sugar, coffee powder and hot water in a bowl.
Whisk it by hand with a whisk or with a mixer.
Keep beating until the mixture is light, thick and fluffy.
As thick as whipped cream is what it should be.
Pour the milk in a glass and top it with the coffee cream.
We find it very tasty but a small tip: next time we use regular instant coffee and not a strong espresso powder, it was a bit too bitter for our taste!
