We read The fault in our stars, a young adult book. This was the sixt book by John Green, an American young adult writer and this book was an instant bestseller.
The title of the book is inspired by Shakespear's play Julius Caesar. It contains this sentence: "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars / but in ourselves, that we are underlings." The inspiration for the story came from the fact that the author had a 16-year-old girlfriend when he was young, whom he lost to cancer.
In short: this is a brilliant, moving and beautiful book. Meanwhile, it's worldwide translated and there are almost one million copies sold. We do not tell you much about the contents of the book, for you can find it everywhere on the Internet. Rather read the book and judge for yourself and/or go to the cinema. The film is NOW daily in Cinerama and Pathé (more info) and the film will be released on DVD and Blue Ray on September 16.
