Since the twelfth century, the stories about the British King Arthur have fascinated the world. Almost everyone knows the story of the sword Excalibur (in the stone) and Merlin the Wizard.
The book we are reading today is called King Arthur's World and it is beautifully written by British author Kevin Crossley-Holland. The Dutch title is not so far-fetched because they are truly magical stories, from a distant past.
The imaginative black and white illustrations that you encounter throughout the book were made by Martijn van der Linden. A very beautiful book that we enjoy reading, unfortunately it's almost out ;)
