There is so much to see and do at the Maker Faire, too much to list here! That's why we put the program at the top right of the page and lined to their website. We did make photographs of some of our favorites for you.

A big favorite of the little monsters was the Minecraft Workshop, which was very popular with many children from the age of 8. Ours was the Green Village, a wonderful project of the TU students.

Yesterday we were at the Maker Faire in Delft with the mini monsters. Maybe you think, a little late this blog, with the event already over. But this fun and special weekend outing iin Delft is held once year and we can hardly tell you about how much fun it was without the experience ;))

Do you also feel like going after reading this blog? Sign up for the newsletter on the Maker Faire homepage, then you will always know in plenty of time when the next event is planned!

On the Maker Boulevard we visit a number of very creative Makers. Just inside we all see beautiful miniatures, invented and made by hand by Chris Dierickx from TechnoArt. Very unique because everything is made from parts of broken computers or other technical stuff. Especially the tiny ants and caterpillars our little monsters love!

From broken lights to printed circuit boards, everything can be recycled into something beautiful. Really fun and inspiring for our little crafters, they love it! The Maker of TechnoArt gives them a chair to stand on, so they can see everything very well. Moreover, he takes the time to patiently answer all questions.

Very special and unique was a tiny, fully furnished tree house, in a dis-functioning light bulb. (Unfortunately we couldn't get there to take a picture). There were also objects with lighting or with built-in mini-lights. like these Floating Islands luckily no one was there (yet).

After that, Puk really wants to learn mini-painting, so we're going to paint miniatures at Studio Ginart. Gina, the owner of Studio Ginart, is relaxed, very nice and patient. She explains exactly how to use the paint to get the best result. She gives Puk a lot of good tips and information, this will probably turn into his new hobby! Then she dries Puk's artwork and wraps it well, so it gets home safely.

With the Ginart flyer in the bag we move on to the next maker. There we see a giant spider, it's hanging from the ceiling, brrr! At GameXL by Marcel Knotter you can play on a real digital pinball machine, isn't that fun?

Then on to MTB3D, where 3D printers can make anything you can imagine. The mini-monsters are fascinated to see how the printers work. After the demonstration they may all choose something the printers made, to take home with them. The Dino keychains are the most wanted :))

We also check out Naaice - Robolab - Fabio Boekel - KITE Educatie - Delft Rocket Aerospace Engineering, we see the coolest things that started with a good idea by creative people, even made of Lego!

Then we go outside again, amongst other things Delft blue tiles are made there, from your selfie! In the afternoon a dancing robot will perform, but first we want to do The Green Village Tour.

The mini monsters had a super fun day at the Maker Faire, they saw so many cool inventions, did a lot of fun creative things themselves and also learned a lot, from programming to painting. They got so much inspiration today!

Big favorites of the mini-monsters were: the Learn programming Minecraft workshop, painting miniatures, the digitale pinball machine, the robots and the 3D printers, they really want one at home ;)) Our favorite was The Green Village Tour, a really beautiful idea. Next time we will definitively go again!
