This is the Dutch version of the well-known Anthroposophical picture book The Root Children. The long rhymes were written by Alfred Lister and the beautiful drawings are by Freddie Langeler. A beautiful, cheerful book about the Root Children, who in the fall go to sleep underground to wake up in the Spring.
The children make new clothes in the most beautiful colours and then they play outside, until autumn comes again. A fairy tale that young and older will love to read because the story is so sweet and the illustrations are just brilliant. The books may be but old they are still being reprinted and that says a lot!
