How to make Autumn bowls
Do you want to keep your workspace and the rolling pin clean? Then cover your workspace with aluminum foil first.
Knead the clay.
Roll the clay, under cling film.
Press in a leaf.
Place cling film back on top.
Roll firmly over the cling film so that you make a clean impression of the leaf in the clay.
Gently pull back the leaf.
Cut away the clay around the imprint.
Loosen and remove it carefully.
Repeat it with another leaf.
Repeat the process again.
Place the leafs in bowls.
Place them in a warm spot.
Allow the clay at least 48 hours to dry thoroughly, in round bowls, so the leaves will bend hollow. You can take them out halfway through and then turn them over, then they will dry quicker on the underside.
Paint the clayed leaves in various Autumn colours, let the paint dry thorougly.
Touch the leaves up with gold paint, then let it dry again.
Aren't those Autumn bowls pretty? The Grannies will be happy!
