250g white chocolate
50g dried apricots, finely chopped
50g dried cranberries
50g (salted) pistachios, chopped
optional: cardamom powder
For Diwali we like to make a tasty treat that can easily be shared. These white chocolate shards tick both boxes perfectly. Moreover, the chocolate also looks pretty. The cardamom gives a nice flavor to the chocolate. But if you don't like it, just leave it out.
How to make Diwali Chocolate
Place a fireproof bowl on top of a pan with soft boiling water.
Line a rectangular baking tin with baking paper.
Chop the chocolate into small pieces and put it into the bowl.
Melt the chocolate au bain marie and leave it for 3 minutes.
Now stir the kardemom powder into the melted chocolate, if you like
Pour the chocolate into the baking tin.
Cover the bottom by tilting the baking tin.
Cut the apricots and the nuts into pieces.
Sprinkle the apricot pieces over the chocolate.
Sprinkle the cranberries over the chocolate as well.
Finally, divide the chopped pistachio nuts over the chocolate.
Cover the chocolate and place it in the refrigerator to set.
Break or chop the chocolate into shards.
Serve the Diwali chocolate with tea or wrap it, to share.
