The first day back in school we celebrate with something delicious! Today one of the bigger snazzie-kids is baking pancakes, but not the ordinary ones. He saw a recipe on youtube called Dorayaki and he thinks they will be very yummie. We get started with the groceries quickly because the recipe is super easy, he makes them all by himself! I wonder if our clever boy will succeed ...
How to make Dorayaki pancakes
Break the eggs into a large bowl.
Add the sugar to the eggs.
Add the honey as well.
Beat as if your life depends on it.
Sieve in flour and baking powder.
Beat it firmly again.
Finally stir in the water.
Let the batter rest at room temperature, for 15 minutes.
Brush the pan with oil, heat it then turn the heat low.
Pour the batter down the center of the pan, let it run out.
Fry the pancake in two minutes light brown.
Flik the pancake and bake it 1 minute more.
Continue until the batter runs out.
Open the tin with red bean paste.
Spread the paste generously on a pancake.
You don't like bean paste? Replace with Nutella or honey.
The pancakes turned out great and taste delicious!
Very well done J!
