To make a beautiful dragon from corks you need a lot of corks. Luckily you can order them online or you need to know someone who loves wine. ;)) If there are moms or dads with a drill, that is very useful. Sawing may also be better done by an adult or otherwise under supervision! NB! Don't make your wire too short, otherwise the dragon won't be able to move.
How to make a dragon from corks
Dril a hole in 8 corks, all the way through.
Saw on tboth sides a groove, scrape it wider using scissors.
Cut out the dragon's scales and check if they fit into the cork.
Paint the scales.
Let the paint dry.
Turn over and paint the other side.
Let the paint dry again.
Paint the ends golden.
Decorate with a marker.
Paint the 8 corks as well.
Paint the dragon's head too.
Let the paint dry well.
Cut out a large circle.
Cut a sort of spikes all around from the circle
Paint the spikes golden.
Stick them on the head.
Glue dry? Drill a hole.
Glue the scales into the corks.
Let the glue dry completely.
Tie a bead on the string.
Thread on the body (the corks).
Bend a loop from wire and glue it into the head.
Tie the string through the metal loop but not too tight!
Your dragon is ready! We wish you a wonderful Michealmas!
