Of course we read another Dragon's Book on St Michael's Day! Today our choice fell on Dragon Stories 1 by the Italian children's book author Tea Orsi. But this book is different from the other dragon books. It contains eight exciting mythological stories from eight different countries.
Folktales that have sometimes been told for centuries in the countries where they come from. From a time when people believed dragons were real. We now know that they are fantasy animals, but that does not alter the fact that we still like to read stories about these beautiful made up creatures!
The beautiful illustrations are made by Anna Lang, a Hungarian illustrator who now lives in Sadinie. She has captured the atmosphere of the old stories well. The mini monsters love her prints with so many dragons in various colours!
