For Dutch National Pancake Day 2014 we are baking three-in-the-pan. You may remember them, these really old-fashioned but still very tasty small, thick pancakes filled with raisins and apple.
Because we are also baking for the elderly today, it seemed like a very appropriate recipe and our mini-monsters also like them a lot. So nice when young and old(er) enjoy them together!
How to make Three in the Pan
Stir flour, salt and milk until combined.
It should be a thick batter.
Fold in the raisins.
Peel and core the apple.
Grate and stir into the batter.
Melt one spoon of butter.
Put 3 scoops batter into the pan.
Fry the pancakes slowly on low heat until cooked, approximately 4-5 minutes on each side
Fry the pancakes on both sides.
When golden brown they are cooked.
Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar on the pancakes.
You can eat these pancakes also with icing sugar or syrup, it is all very tasty.
Have a fun day today!
