Today we are playing with picture book Dwars door Rotterdam (Straight through Rotterdam). We like to put the spotlight on this cardboard book that made it into our Holiday Books Top 10 in 2020. It is a funny cardboard book that shows all Rotterdam highlights. From the Hef to Central Station and from the Kuip to the Pencil, Rotterdam has many unusual structures!
The book unfolds completely and is printed on both sides. When you put the book upright it has 2 'tunnels' through which you can drive small toy cars. We cut a road out of black paper, then the mini monsters can play to their hearts desire.
Just like the books Een Rondje Rotterdam and Een Rondje Blijdorp, this book is made by CKoe animatie en illustratie and on their website you can see and read what more they do. Actually a lot! There is no English version of this book since it is a book without words, so it does not matter! :)))
