What do you need to spatter?
a canvas
autumn leaves or other shapes
pins
gesso primer and brush
Ecoline watercolours
tea strainer (Xenos, 0.99)
toothbrush
Hopefully you also have dried a lot of leaves, because now you need them. If you do not have leaves you can download our PDF. Print it out on (thicker) paper and cut them out and your artwork will turn out fine too.
Preparing it is hard to keep clean surroundings and hands splashing, so set the table wondering if that should not be dirty. The advantage is that so Ecoline watercolor is you wash it off as, hands and tables.
Let mini-monsters give the canvas a nice colour with some wall paint and a roller, otherwise you must use a primer first. Let the primer (gesso) dry for an hour before the spattering starts.
Use undamaged leaves from different trees.
Prick them using pins onto the canvas.
Dip your brush in the paint, rub the paint on the sieve.
Spatter watercolour in autumn tones over the leaves.
Pick out new leaves, prick on and choose a new colour paint.
Before each colour change rinse your toothbrush and wipe dry.
After each colour allow the paint dry a moment!
Remove the pins then carefully take away the leaves.
Allow the wet canvas to dry thoroughly overnight.
Fixate the signed canvasses with a special spray and let it dry.
