What do you need?
felt: black dark blue, turkquoise
felt: purple, white
black yarn and a needle
textile glue
fiber fill
pins

During the National Reading Days of 2012 we read the picture book Little Owl Lost that we already bought in 2011. Only later did we understand that you could buy a small edition of the picture book with a finger puppet during the National Reading Days.

The book is so funny and the little owl so cute, but don't worry, we are going to make a cuddly little owl ourselves. Together with the Little Owl fans, here, at snazzie. The book has now been read 86 times again :))

How to make your own Little Owl

Download the pattern, cut out all the parts.

Pin the patterns on the felt and cut them out.

Remove the paper patterns then pin the felt together.

Cut out all loose parts of Little owl and pin them too.

Stitch the body closed by hand, leaving the underside open.

Sew the feet both closed in the same way, leave the top side open.

Turn the feet inside out, stuff in the filling and close them.

Cut out the little blue 'feathers' you see on Little owl's belly.

Glue them on then stick eye white, iris and pupil on.

Glue the face with the beak and eyes on as well

Sew on the wings like it is  marked on the pattern.

Stuff Little owl with fiberfill, sew the feet onto the front on the inside.

Stitch Little owl closed with the oval bottom.

Ready! The snazzie-kids adore Little Owl!

We wish you a lot of fun during The National Reading Days!
