Shopping list for 4 Hotdogs
4 hotdogs
2 pre-baked baguettes
4 slices of American cheese
finely chopped lettuce
sliced pickles
1 white onion, finely chopped
Optional:
sesame seeds, for serving
For the Big Mac sauce
120 ml mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon sweet paprika
¼ teaspoon sea salt
Sometimes you want something easy to eat on the weekend, but not really fast food. We buy thin sausages and pre-baked baguettes and we eat fresh organic lettuce, chopped onion and tomatoes with it. The Big Mac sauce is hardly healthy but hey, it is tasty, so let's go! :))
How to make Big Mac Hotdogs
Preheat the oven to 200°C / 180°C Fan
Cut the baguettes in half and slice the 4 parts lenghtwise.
Place the sausages in the baguettes.
Place a slice of Cheddar cheese on top.
Bake the baguette for 10 minutes until light brown.
How to make Big Mac Sauce
Put mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard in a bowl.
Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and vinegar.
Whisk it all together until you have a smooth Big Mac sauce.
How to plate the hot dags
Cut the salad and chop the onion.
Cut the pickles and tomatoes.
Remove the hotdogs from the oven.
Spoon sauce on your Bic Mac hotdog and put the rest in a jar.
Serve the vegetables on the plate.
