Today we are making a cute little house for a sweet mom that is also a flower pot. But do mind, start early, the whole project takes about a week. We found a lovely flower pot house on the internet, but we make it more or less according to our own idea. Not from FIMO but from self-drying clay (much cheaper and you don't have to bake it) and a lot smaller. But we do paint it in pastel colors, we think that's very pretty for Mother's Day!
How to make a flowerpot-house

Knead the clay until soft and smooth.
Flatten it by hand.
Roll it until 1.5 - 2 cm thickness.
Cut out the a side wall of the house.
And cut another, exactly to size.
These are both the sides of the house.
Cut a bottom of 2.5 cm thickness.
Also cut out the front and back.
Cut the roof details out of clay.
Cut out windows and a door.
Press the details on the house.
Allow the clay to dry for a week, so it will be dry through and through, you do not need your present until May 10!
When the clay has thoroughly dried take some sand paper and sand all the edges nice and smooth.
Paint your cottage in various cute pastel colours.
Glue the house together and let the glue dry well.
Check if the paint needs touching up here and there, put a nice plant in your cottage and surprise your Mum with it on Mother's Day!
