A retro bookmark fits perfectly with our theme of this month, which is nature. We used to make these bookmarks with our grandmother, now we make them again, with our mini-monsters. Because we read a lot at snazzie, we make two, one for Gran and one for ourselves. Great! But first we are going to pick and dry flowers.
Here's how you make the bookmarks
Lay down a piece of cardboard.
Place a piece of kitchen paper on top and then the flowers.
Cover the flowers with kitchen paper, press it on.
Put another piece of cardboard on top of the kitchen paper.
Put a few heavy books on top then put the tower out of the way.
Allow the flowers to dry like this for 3 up to 5 days.
Draw stripes on the cardboard.
Cut out the strips.
Stick the flowers on the cardboard.
We are going to stick the adhesive coverpaper on the book marks now, but work carfully: the cover paper is static!
Cout out strips of cover paper.
Remove the paper on the back.
Press it on the flowers.
Punch a hole in the top middle.
Wind yarn or string arounde your hand, stick it in the hole.
Then stick the front through the back and pull it tight.
Cut the treads open and your book mark is ready!
