Today we are making some extras for the autumn fairy door. We make a letterbox with some notes and an autumn garland or wreath. For the pattern of the letterbox you can download the PDF and it also contains the shapes of the felt leaves.
How to make the letterbox
Mark 3 pieces of 4.5x2.5cm.
Saw them off.
Saw 2 pieces slanted.
You can download the PDF.
You have just sawed the bottom and sides of the mailbox, now also saw the back (4x3cm), the front (3x2.5cm) and the top (3x3cm).
Sand the pieces smooth.
Cut the matches to size.
Stick them on the back.
Allow the glue to dry well
Paint the inside.
Sick on the sides and bottom.
Let the glue dry well.
Stick on the front.
Paint the inside of the mailbox
Stick on the top.
Let the glue dry completely.
Paint the entire outside.
Let the paint dry completely then varnish the mailbox (optional).
Now we make the Elf mail!
How to make the letters
You need: paper, pencil, ruler, scissors, punches, glitter, glue.
Cut pieces of white paper 8x8 and 4x4cm.
Cut out the squares and cut one in four pieces.
Fold the envelopes like you see in the picture.
How you make the leaf garland or wreath
This is what you need
Print the pattern and cut it out.
Pin the patterns on the felt.
Cut out the felt leaves.
Twist a circle from a trash bag closing and wrap a thread around it.
Stick the leaves on the string and on the wreath.
Hang the wreath of the garland on the door. We bought the toadstool on the door ready-made, at the Viltshop, in a bag with 48 pieces.
