pair of scissors
a pencil
coloured craft cardstock
hobby glue or glue stick
faux gems
glitter
piercer and mat
gold thread
Colourful garlands for Diwali brighten up the whole room in November, so get your stuff together and we'll start cutting and glueing. Make the garlands as long as you like and make as many as you want, the more you make the nicer it looks! Then we find a nice spot for our garlands and hang them up.
How to make a divali garland
Cut out the print.
Trace the diyas.
Cut them out.
Cut out the flame.
Trace as much as you have diyas.
Stick the flames on the diyas.
Allow the glue to dry well.
Cut out slightly smaller flames in a different colour
Stick those flames on too.
Stick the faux gems on.
Decorate more with the gold felt tip.
Prick holes into the flames.
Thread the gold yarn through the holes and hang your garland(s)
