Our mini Rotterdam boy does not have to think long when it comes to an outing in Rotterdam, he wants to sail and grandpa goes along.
Because we do not like The Spido in virus time, we choose the Kids Marina and Puk instantly chooses the Police Boat.
Great fun, a big 10 for the Kids Marina!
Kids Marina is a water attraction for children aged 0 to 99 in the heart of Rotterdam. The kids can sail an electrically powered boat by themselves through a part of the port of Rotterdam. The boats are models of real ships that you can find in the port of Rotterdam. There are plenty boats to choose from like a fire boat; a tour boat; a police boat; a freighter; a ferry and a tug, to name some.
During the summer holidays, the Kids Marina is located in the Leuvehaven, next to the Maritime Museum Rotterdam. During the holidays, the Marina is open every day from 12:00 to 17:00, but you have to reserve a place because of Covid-19.
The boats are suitable for a maximum of 4 people and cost € 12.50 per boat but if you have a JeugdVakantiePaspoort you get a 5.00 euro discount. With a Rotterdampas you get free admission for 1 visit.
A boat trip takes twenty minutes and children older than 10 years can sail independently, of course with a life jacket on! Parents can have a drink on the terrace of the Kids Marina with a view of the water if they do not go on board, where there is also a play corner for the little ones.
An special experience for kids, to sail between the big boats in the port of Rotterdam in your little boat. Have lots of fun!
