The simple lemon cake we bake today is as easy to make as our basic vanilla cake, but then with fresh lemon instead of vanilla. Not simple but really delicious is the subtle flavour of lemon that you taste and the fragrant lemon scent of this cake.
How to make - step by step - a simple lemon cake
Grease the baking tin.
Dust it with flour.
Mix the butter and sugar creamy.
Beat in the eggs one by one.
Grate and squeeze the lemon.
Mix in the lemon juice.
Sieve flour and salt into the mixture.
Preheat the oven to 180°C
Fold in the lemon zest.
Spoon the batter into the mould.
Put the mold in the middle of the oven.
Bake the cake in ± 55 minutes cooked.
Check the nicely risen, golden brown cake with a skewer in the middle whether it is cooked, the skewer should come out clean!
Allow the cake to cool first in the mould then on a wire rack.
With whipped cream and strawberries it is children's favorite too!
