The mini monsters love origami folding and they really like the bookmarks. If you know how to do it, it is very easy and such a bookmark is ready quickly! We have made them many times before but these sharks are new to us.
How to make a kirigami (folding, cutting, pasting) shark
Fold your sheet diagona in halfl.
Fold both points to the top point.
Fold both points open again.
Fold the innermost of the 2 points on top downwards.
Tuck in the left point,
Tuck in the right point too.
Turn your folding upward, the head is done.
The head is the origami part (Japanese folding) and that is done, now you are going to cut, which is called kirigami (and paste)
Cut the 3 fins.
Cut the mouth and the teeth.
Stick the fins on the shark.
Glue the mouth and teeth in.
Cut out eyes and pupils and srick them on.
Your shark is ready.
Keep a close eye on your shark, before you know it he'll eat your book!
