What do you need to make
your own hobby board?
1 bed board (Gamma)
paint, paint brush and a paintroller
1 Mosslanda picture holder (Ikea)
3 Bekvam kitchen racks for spices (Ikea)
screws and a screw driver
metal clamps (Dille&Kamille)
coloured paperclips
De cat curtains are ready made (Ikea).
We made the noses pink with a textile marker.
We give our (tiny) office a makeover, it overflows! A good opportunity to clear out the cupboards and tackle the empty space with a fresh coat of paint. When we are busy anyway we will make a hobby board as well. First we should get all the decorating stuff together...
How to make a hobby board
When you see empty walls you see holes, first we fill them.
Then we paint the ceiling, a little one is quickly done.
Let the ceiling dry overnight then give it a second coat.
The once white walls we give a cute colour, named English rose.
The color is a sweet powder pink, Karwei Buildingmarket's own brand.
The bed board is of predrilled hardboard, 90x200 m. We saw off 90x120 cm.
We painted the board with a roller satin white,
Paint the board three times and do not forget to paint the edges.
Saw seven cubes --x--x--mm and stick them onto the back.
Drill holes in the cubes on the 4 corners and screw the board onto the wall.
Screw the Mosslanda picture holder onto the board.
We sanded the seven cubes first, then painted them withe and stuck one on each corner. In the middle we stuck on three, so the board hangs a little off the wall.
Then you can place something on it like pretty greeting cards, pictures etc
The Bekvam spice racks are unassembled by Ikea.
When apart the parts are easier to paint on all sides.
Let the paint dry overnight then give the racks a second coat.
Assemble the painted spice racks as instucted by Ikea
Attach the spice racks with screws onto the hobby board.
Place your stuff on the spice racks to make it nice and handy.
So handy!
