Today we are going back to Plukkerij Framblij, the mini-monsters are already excited! There is so much to do, like pick your own unsprayed fruit of course and there is a lot of fruit in this season. No cherries but a lot of blackberries, there are still raspberries but more strawberries, blueberries and currants. The gentleman from Framblij will cut your grapes for you so that you are sure you take the ripe grapes home. ;))
Upon arrival first of all we so and wash our hands of course.
Then to the cash desk, to pay for admission.
There you pick up a basket, a container and scissors.
Now we are ready to pick and cut fruit.
On the blackberries we see a beautiful butterfly, all morning we come across bumblebees and butterflies, they are also happy with unsprayed fruit and flowers!
There are also melons in the back of the greenhouse, but there is not only fruit. There are also delicous green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines and courgettes that you can pick yourself. So good to see for the kids where your food is coming from. The strawberries are on the other side of the greenhouse, also a very tasty fruit to pick!
We cross over to the second greenhouse, there are all the berries, above your head the grapes grow (the grapes are magnificent) and there are even more strawberries. There is also a tea room with delicious freshly baked muffins and nice souvenirs. There are homemade jams, painted fruit crates or pottery like vases, plates and small ornaments. Our smallest mini-monster scores a beautiful little blue dragon, for 1 euro.
The apples still have to grow a bit, but we have already collected enough fruit and vegetables to eat well in the coming week. The mini monsters play outside for a while, in the playground. You can also take a ride on the ponies or cuddle the rabbits. The chickens run loose among the children.
It has been a lovely morning again and on our way to the car we just go and say goodbye to the horses. We drive home with full bags but we surely will be back again. In every season it is nice at Plukkerij Framblij!
