In May we made a bird's nest, now we want to add a bird. Our mini-monsters love the great tits, they often visit our garden. So we didi not have to think long and hard, a great tit it will be! It is not difficult at all with our pattern on PDF.
How to make a great tit
Print the pattern and cut out the parts
Cut out all the parts.
Pin the head together.
Pin the belly on one side.
Stich the pinned part together.
Then pin the other side.
Stitch the belly closed.
Pin the black head on.
Sew a little bit with yellow.
Stitch the head on the bird.
The underside is closed now.
Pin the wings and tail on the bird.
Stitch them on.
Stuff the bird using fiberfill.
Close the back with small stitches but check for the final closing if the bird has enough stuffing.
Sew the cheeks on the head.
Tie on, sew and stick through.
Sew the other side, tie off.
Do the same with the eyes.
Bend thin leggs of wire and wrap them in thread.
Stick the legs in the bird with a drop of glue.
Now the Great Tit can sit on it's nest.
