Photo left: the real dragonfly
Unexpectedly, our mini-monster sees a beautiful big dragonfly in the garden, she is just sitting there against a bush. He is so fascinated by the special extraordinary creature, he calls everyone outside to see the "big butterfly". When the dragonfly has flown, we will craft one ourselves. Not as beautiful as the real one of course, more beautiful than nature does not exist. But we're doing our best!
How to make a dragonfly
Paint the clothes peg all silver, allow the paint to dry.
Roll adhesive tape around the peg, with a small gap in between.
Paint black rings in the gaps, a black triangle on the head.
Stick on eyes, paint white half circles on the black rings.
Paint using 'glow in the dark paint' 3 dots on the triangle on the head.
Cut wire legs, press in double sided tape, push them in between the clothes peg.
Cut out the wings double, in one piece from the cellophane bag.
Glue the wings on, decorate with glitter glue.
Stick the wings onto the back of the dragonfly.
We find our dragonfly very pretty too!
You can stick a magnet on the dragonfly's belly or tie a nylon thread on it and ... it can be in- or outside ;)
