Spring is a wonderful time of year in the garden! The seedlings have all gone outside and we also bought some young vegetable plants. The raspberries have already taken over 1/3 of the vegetable area!
We only have a small vegetable garden because we only have a small garden. But we still eat various fresh vegetables and fruit from the garden all summer long. So much fun for the mini monsters to pick it themselves, wash it well and then eat them!
All the fruit is growing very well, we have kept the strawberries from last year. Last winter was mild, so wrapped in some old newspapers in the shed they managed just fine!
The red currants do well every year, it is only the birds in large numbers, that eat them. We really like having the birds in the garden, but the berries should be shared fairly!
It takes some time before the Elderberry flowers turn into berries.
Here you see the beginning of the snack peppers, look closely, in the center of the leaves.
Here you see our first, nicly thickened snack cucumber!
These flowers will all become Roma tomatoes.
Among our cherry tomatoes are ripe ones already.
Here the spring onions grow, we will harvest them soon.
1 week later and here they are: our sping onions, with lots of roots! ;))
Our first tomatoes of the year are the cherry tomatoes.
Cucumber and currants, the little monsters our proud of the 1st harvest!
