What do you need?
wool, in lion and tiger colours
pieces of thick cardboard
paper clips
pencil
scissors
pies of felt, lion and tiger colours
hobby glue

Today we not only make pompoms but also the pompom maker. They are very easy to make, all you need is a piece of cardboard. We make pompoms for beginners. Online you see a lot of cute pompom animals, but to make those is not as easy as it seems in the videos. Certainly not for children. That is why we make an easy version so that the mini-monsters can also participate ;))

How to make a pumpkin lion and / or tiger

Draw the arches yourself or download our PDF and trace them

Draw 4 arches on cardboard.

Cut out the arches.

Bend the ends upward.

So together it makes a circle.

Place two bows on top of each other and wrap wool around.

Repeat the same with the other two arches.

Put the 2 together in a circle and secure with 4 paperclips.

Push the scissors between two arches and cut.

Cut the entire circle like this in half.

Place a thread between the arches and pull tight.

Tie the knot real tight then remove the cardboard.

The pumpkins now look shaggyy, so cut them nicely round.

Try to cut evenly, you don't cut too much quickly.

For the lion thread 2 threads to and fro in loops.

Use a needle with a large eye, stick in two different colours threads then cut the loops when there are enough.

Cut faces out of various colours felt.

Glue the faces on the pompoms.
