What do you need?
a sarcophagus box
a pencil
acrylic glitter deco pens
black fine liner
gold paint and paintbrush
The little crafters can paint these boxes with gouache, the bigger ones can use these gltter-acrylic paint pens for a beautiful result. A disadvantage is: they are expensive, you may not press too hard on the tips and once the paint has dried it's not easy to remove stains from clothing. We use acrylic paint with the bigger kids, gouache with the little ones.
How to paint a sarcophagus
Paint the inside and lid twice, then the paint covers better.
Paint the box on the outside too, draw a Pharaoh on the lid.
Colour the drawing with the deco pens.
Write hyroglyfics on the box with a marker.
Pant the face a skin tone.
Place the mummie into the sarcophagus and draw a face.
Or ... you can use it for your pens instead ;)
