Have you often been on the beach often during the vacation? Then you might have found many sea shells, just like Snazzie's mini-monsters. You can place them in a glass jar or on a tray, which looks beautiful and you can admire the shells every day. But you can also have fun crafting with them, we make a holiday souvenir with our shells.
How to make a vacation souvenir
Paint the shells with acrylic paint.
The little ones use gouache.
Allow the shells to dry well.
Then brush on some silver paint.
Allow the shells to dry thoroughly, meanwhile start on the picture frame
Trace the inlay of the picture frame for size.
Cut out the paper rectangle.
Now the paper fits perfectly.
Put the fish together, stick on the eyes.
Glue the shells on each other, then onto the paper.
Draw with a feltpen tiny mouths on the star buttons.
With a template you can write neatly on the frame.
If you are using a template it is important to let the paint dry first after each letter of a word, otherwise they get wiped off.
For example: Start with the S from Sun, the S from sea and the D from sand, one after the other . Allow these three letters to dry, then continue with the second letter of each word. In our case the U from sun, the E from sea and the N from sand. Allow the three to dry again then continue.
Stamp the acrylic paint into the stencil.
Your vacation souvenir is done, show it in a nice spot!
