Ernest and Celestine is a book by Belgian writer / illustrator Gabrielle Vincent. She made 27 books about the duo, which in the Dutch translation got the names Brammert and Tissie. The books have been translated globally and are still very popular. At the moment there are some titles in reprint in The Netherlands, in which - we're happy to say - the original names Ernest and Celestine are used.
Reviews for this picture book series are laudatory without exception. The beautiful coloured drawings are delightful and the stories are sweet but not childish, very surprising! Please do mind, some stories are not suited for the youngest.
