Shopping list
100 g dark chocolate, finely chopped
a pinch of fine sea salt
600ml whole milk
3 tablespoons caster sugar
2 tablespoons of cream
To decorate
125 ml double cream
1 tablespoon caster sugar
little sugar mushrooms
The weather is still quite nice, not cold at all with sunshine during the day, but by the evening it cools down quickly and it gets dark earlier. So not yet winter, but a hot chocolate tastes very good in the fall too. Especially this fancy version, made with real chocolate and whipped cream!.
This is how you make this fancy hot chocolate
Start with the topping
Beat the cream with the sugar until stiff.
Spoon the whipped cream into a piping bag.
Put the cream in the refrigerator for now.
How you make the chocolate milk
Chop the chocolate finely.
Add a oinch of salt to the chocolate.
Add the sugar to the milk.
Bring hte milk to the boil.
Pour the hot milk into the finely chopped chocolate and stir well until the chocolate has totally melted
Now stir in the liquid cream.
Pour the chocolate into a cup.
Pipe on a large rosette of whipped cream.
For fun we put little mushrooms on top, happy autumn!
