We are always happy with a new picture book by Edward van de Vendel, we already know that the book is fun for our mini monsters. Because it's about large work vehicles and they love that. It is always great fun in the car when we pass a construction site. Walking through the center of Rotterdam, we often stand still, with the adoring toddlers. We live in just the right city for them!
The illustrations by Liesbeth de Stercke are also absolutely perfect! The big red truck, the cement mixer and the garbage truck are all favorites here! Moreover, they are driven by cool, tough animals, let's face it, it couldn't be better, could it?
Look how hard all the animals work, they are hauling and building! What a party that will be, but who would it be for? We are so curious, we are going to read the book to the mini-monsters right now!
