Shopping list
600 ml semi skimmed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
75g white chocolate, chopped into small pieces
whipped cream
optional: mini marshmallows
Today you will find most of the Rotterdam children (including our mini monsters) on the quay to welcome Sinterklaas and his Pieten to the Netherlands. Usually it takes a while for the steamboat to reach the quay and although everyone sings loudly - a great way to keep warm - you still feel the cold creeping up on you! When you come home afterwards you urgently need a nice hot drink and this white chocolate milk is perfect for that!
How to make this festive white chocolate milk
Measure the milk.
Chop the chocolate into pieces.
Add the vanilla to the milk.
Add the chocolate pieces too.
Place the saucepan on low heat and melt the chocolate. Stir now and then until the milk is hot but do not let the milk come to the boil!
Stir occaisionally.
In the mean time whip the cream.
Beat the hot chocolate milk with a whisk.
Pour the hot chocolate milk into the cups.
Top the hot chocolate with cream and mini-marshmellows.
