200cl red wine
30g caster sugar
a sprig of rosemary

How to make French cherry compôte
Rinse the cherries and remove the stems.
Remove the stones from the cherries.
Put the cherries in a pan.
Add the red wine.
Bring the cherries to the boil.
Add the caster sugar.
And the sprig of rosemary.
Let the wine reduce in approximately 10 minutes.
Remove the sprig of rosemary and the compôte is ready.
Serve it with some spicy cheese and your homemade muesli bread. You smell France, très délicieux!
